Ziad Ferzly, Managing Director, Cedarwood Advisors

Ziad has been advising companies and investors on strategic, financial, marketing, and technological matters for 20 years.

Ziad is a trusted advisor to venture capital and private equity firms, and large institutions as they decide where, when, and how to invest.  He also works with investors on launching and growing new ventures.  Ziad advises emerging companies on strategic planning, expansion tactics, and capital raising issues.

As a mergers and acquisitions banker, Ziad advises public and private companies as well as investment groups on a wide variety of transactions.  He is also a recognized turnaround and restructuring expert who has revived distressed companies and brought them back to profitability.

Ziad advises governments and international organizations on economic development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and issues relating to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Ziad is a frequent speaker at conferences and an editorial contributor to business publications on investment, management, and macro-economic topics.

Ziad has a MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, with a concentration in corporate finance and macroeconomics.  He also received a B.S. with distinction in Computer Science (and mathematics) from Virginia Tech University.
